What happened to some of the
Old Pals who served with us?

Fortunately some of those we remember
from 47 Regt. Royal Artillery and the
REME Workshops, stationed in
Napier Barracks, Dortmund
about 1957 - 1966 (or thereabouts)
have found us, and
their stories are presented here.
Old Pals list

Bernie stayed in the army after most of us left in the 1960s, eventually retiring as a WO1 from the Royal Army Pay Corps. After retiring he worked as a civilian at the Wetter base workshops where the larger vehicles and tanks were rebuilt.

Bernie & his wife Sigi now live on the German - Dutch border and spend winters in Spain.
