What happened to some of the
Old Pals who served with us?

Fortunately some of those we remember
from 47 Regt. Royal Artillery and the
REME Workshops, stationed in
Napier Barracks, Dortmund
about 1957 - 1966 (or thereabouts)
have found us, and
their stories are presented here.

Hi John,

About time I updated my details. Still in Bridport Dorset, been retired now for 9 years. Keeping busy as an instructor and administration officer with the Sea Cadet Corps, also their caretaker and boat maintainer so I still get to tinker with engines. Met another ex-47 mate a couple of months ago; he's not on the photo as by then he had left to join the RE's - his name is ex Sgt Len (doughy) Baker, another VM, a great mate of Lou Ramsbottom. He now lives near Glastonbury in Somerset.

All the Best John.

The photo was taken in Bristol in October 2002, when John Bosher and Lou Ramsbottom met up again for the first time in thirty years.
