Almost forty years later, in 2001, John Bosher, Mick Toogood and I managed to remember exactly half of the above names, although we did get two of the officers completely wrong. Fortunately in 2006 Mike Powell was able to verify the above names from a list very kindly supplied by Brig (Ret'd) Alan Needham. The original list was probably typed by Cfn Bernie Firmin in the REME Workshops Admin Office.

N.B. When I arrived in Dortmund, in October 1959, there were two Class 2 Warrant Officers in the Ground Guidance Repair Section of M & G Platoon, who had both attended the Firestone missile training course in White Sands, New Mexico. One of them might have been WOII Frank Needham, working in the Missile Repair Station with Cpl Derek Wright. The other worked in the Ground Guidance Repair Station with a Cpl who was not trained on the missile system, he was a radio/communications technician on temporary assignment until I arrived, and they both left within a month of my arrival. I would be grateful to anybody who can supply any of their names so that they can be included here.
